- Scope
- This part of GB/T 7233 specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements and methods for the detection of internal defects using pulse-echo technology for ultrasonic testing of steel castings (non-austenitic) for general purposes. This part applies to the ultrasonic testing of general purpose steel castings (non-austenitic) after heat treatment for grain refinement and steel castings with a thickness not exceeding 600mm. For steel castings with a thickness exceeding 600mm, there shall be an agreement specifying the testing methods and recording limits. This section does not apply to austenitic steels.
