Scope

This part of GB/T 24425 stipulates the basic dimensions and tolerances of internal threads for installing wire thread inserts with a nominal thread diameter of 2 mm to 39 mm and a pitch of 0.4 mm to 4 mm. After the wire thread insert is screwed into the internal thread specified in this part, the pitch diameter tolerance zone of the formed internal thread is composed of the internal thread pitch tolerance zone for the wire thread insert and the profile tolerance of the wire thread insert. This part specifies the internal thread used for 5H and 6H. It is recommended to use 6H for ordinary type wire thread inserts and 5H for locking type wire thread inserts.
