Scope

This part of GB/T 24425 specifies locking wire thread inserts with a symmetrical profile with a nominal thread diameter of 3 mm to 39 mm and a pitch of 0.5 mm to 4 mm. The wire thread insert specified in this part is screwed into the internal thread for 5H specified in GB/T 24425.5, and the tolerance zone of the formed internal thread is 5H (GB/T 197). The wire thread insert specified in this part is suitable for raising low Strength material body (such as: aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy, copper alloy, cast iron and non-metallic) the strength of the screw hole, improve the fatigue strength of the screw, improve the locking performance, and repair the damaged screw hole.
