Scope

This part of GB/T 24425 specifies ordinary wire thread inserts with a symmetrical profile with a nominal thread diameter of 2 mm to 39 mm and a pitch of 0.4 mm to 4 mm. The wire thread insert specified in this part is screwed into the internal thread for 6H specified in GB/T 24425.5, and the tolerance zone of the internal thread formed is 6H. The wire thread inserts specified in this part are suitable for improving the strength of screw holes in low-strength materials (such as aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, copper alloys, cast iron and non-metals), improving the fatigue strength of screws, and repairing damaged screw holes.
