Scope
This standard specifies the method for measuring the total radiated sound power of an ultrasonic transducer based on the use of a radiation force balance; establishes the principle of obtaining the sound field to be measured by the target and using the radiation force balance for measurement; clarifies the radiation force method when cavitation and Limits of use in the case of temperature rise; quantitative limits of use of the radiation force method in the presence of diverging and focused beams are identified; information is provided for the evaluation of all measurement uncertainties. This standard applies to: the measurement using a radiation force balance, the frequency range is from 0.5MHz-25MHz, and the ultrasonic power does not exceed 1W; the measurement using a radiation force balance, the frequency range is from 0.75MHz-5MHz, and the ultrasonic power does not exceed 20W; ultrasonic transducer The measurement of the total sound power of the instrument is more suitable for a well-collimated beam; use a gravity-type or force-feedback radiation force balance.
