Scope

This standard specifies the classification and hoisting mode, limit working load, technical requirements, inspection, storage and maintenance, technical conditions for use, inspection and scrapping of slings for port loading and unloading. This standard applies to chain slings, wire rope slings and fiber rope slings connecting port handling machinery and cargo.
