Scope

This standard specifies the terminology, test principle, sample preparation, test equipment, test procedure and test report of the steel wire rope breaking tensile test method. This standard is applicable to the determination of breaking tension of various types of steel wire ropes and steel strands. If there are other provisions in the relevant product standards, the provisions shall be followed.
