This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols, experimental principles, experimental equipment, experimental facilities, samples, experiments, and experimental reports for the measurement of noise generated by building drainage piping systems under laboratory conditions. This standard applies to the testing of noise generated by building drainage pipe systems. The test results can be used for comparisons between products and materials related to building drainage piping systems, and can also be used to estimate the noise characteristics of building drainage piping systems under specific conditions.
