Scope

This part is one of a series of standards on sampling and testing of paints, varnishes and related products. This part specifies the method for determining the equivalent spherical particle size distribution of powder coatings by laser diffraction method. This section applies to powder coatings with particle sizes ranging from 1 μm to 300 μm. This method is only applicable to the determination of dry powder.
