- This standard specifies the basic requirements, material requirements, structure and performance of each part, coating, marking, test methods and inspection rules for standard gauge railway passenger cars. This standard is applicable to new general-purpose all-metal body passenger cars, sleeping cars, luggage cars, postal cars, dining cars, generator cars and composite cars for standard-gauge railways whose construction speed is not greater than 200km/h. Special-purpose vehicles such as official vehicles, sanitation vehicles, maintenance vehicles, and test vehicles, as well as other passenger vehicles with special requirements, can also be used as a reference.
