Scope

This part of GB/T 12343 stipulates the basic requirements, technical methods and comprehensive requirements and technical indicators of each element of topographic maps for compiling 1:500000 and 1:1000000 topographic maps. This part is applicable to the compilation and drawing of 1:500000 and 1:1000000 topographic maps, and the geographical base map for the compilation and drawing of corresponding scale thematic maps can also be used as a reference.
