Scope

This standard specifies the mathematical basis, accuracy, editing work, technical methods of compiling and drawing of 1:1000000 topographic maps and the printing of maps; it specifies the symbols, annotations, colors, Comprehensive indicators and basic requirements. This standard applies to the compilation of 1:1000000 topographic maps. Geographical basemaps for the compilation of 1:1,000,000 and smaller scale thematic maps can also be used as a reference.
