Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for self-healing and non-self-healing capacitors with a rated voltage not exceeding 1 000 V, a capacitance not less than 0.1 µF, a reactive power not exceeding 2.5 kvar, and capable of continuously withstanding AC voltage. Capacitors are used for work Discharge lamp circuits with a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz at altitudes not exceeding 3 000 m. This standard covers capacitors for use in parallel, in series or in series-parallel combinations with lamp circuits. This standard covers only impregnated or non-impregnated capacitors insulated by paper or plastic film or a combination of both, which are metallized or have metal foil electrodes. This standard does not include radio frequency interference suppression capacitors. For the requirements of such capacitors, see GB/T 14472. The tests in this standard are type tests and do not include tests on individual capacitors during production.
