This standard stipulates the requirements for self-healing and non-self-healing capacitors with a rated voltage not exceeding 1000V, a capacitance not less than 0.1μF, and a reactive power not exceeding 2.5kvar, which can continuously withstand AC voltage. Capacitors are used for operating frequencies of 50Hz or 60Hz, discharge lamp circuit with an altitude not exceeding 3000m. This standard covers capacitors for use in parallel, in series or in series-parallel combinations with lamp circuits. This standard covers only impregnated or non-impregnated capacitors insulated by paper or plastic film or a combination of both, which are metallized or have metal foil electrodes. This standard does not include radio frequency interference suppression capacitors. For the requirements of such capacitors, see GB/T 14472. The tests in this standard are type tests and do not include tests on individual capacitors during production.
