This standard specifies the general principles and requirements for the single failure criterion to be applied to the power supply, instrumentation and control parts of the nuclear power plant safety system. This standard clarifies the single fault criterion, discusses various types of faults, guides how to apply the single fault criterion to safety systems and proposes an acceptable single fault analysis method. This standard does not specify which systems are subject to the single failure criterion. This standard applies to nuclear power plant safety systems. The application of this standard should be consistent with the requirements of GB 13284.1-2008 and the specified single failure criterion.
