- This document specifies the general principles and requirements for the application of the single failure criterion to the power supply, instrumentation and control parts of the nuclear power plant safety system. This document clarifies the single failure criterion, guides how to apply the single failure criterion to the safety system and proposes an acceptable single failure analysis method, which is applicable to the safety system of the nuclear power plant.
