Scope
This part of GB/T 13284 specifies the minimum functional and design requirements for the power source, instrumentation and control parts of the nuclear power plant safety system. In order to comply with the provisions of this part, interface requirements are also put forward for other parts of the safety system (see Figure 1). This section applies to those systems required to prevent or mitigate the consequences of design basis events and protect public health and safety. It can also refer to all safety-related systems, structures and equipment required to protect the safety of the entire nuclear power plant. Figure 2 illustrates the scope of this part in the form of a 3 × 3 matrix. The names of the top row of the matrix indicate that the safety system can be divided into three general units: monitoring command equipment, actuators, and power sources. They represent a group of equipment for many independent safety systems. Functions provide similar functional properties. The name of the left column of the matrix indicates that the safety system can be divided into three working units: reactor shutdown system and special safety facilities, auxiliary support facilities and other auxiliary facilities. Figure 2 also gives examples of typical equipment in each part of the matrix, and it can be seen that some components may belong to several parts according to their use.
