This standard specifies the protection type, operating environment conditions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs of the motor. This standard applies to rotating electrical machines for fixed use in tropical areas. Tropical rotating electrical machines (including large, medium, small and low-power motors, hereinafter referred to as motors) shall comply with the provisions of this standard. Those that are not regulated and explained in this standard shall comply with the provisions of GB 755-2000, GB/T 5171-2002 and the special technical conditions for corresponding products.
