Scope

This standard specifies the measurement method and evaluation of the vibration intensity of marine auxiliary equipment such as turbo generators, diesel generators, compressors, pumps, ventilators, refrigerators and motors. This standard applies to the measurement of the vibration intensity and the evaluation of the limit value of the auxiliary machinery in the ship's engine room under normal working conditions. This standard is not suitable for finding vibration sources, diagnosing faults, studying local vibrations, or other research purposes.
