Scope

This standard specifies the vibration measurement methods of diesel generators, turbo generators, air compressors, refrigerators, pumps, ventilators and oil purifiers and other ship engine room auxiliary machines. This standard applies to the vibration measurement of the auxiliary engine in the engine room under normal working conditions. This standard is not suitable for finding vibration sources, diagnosing faults, studying local vibrations, or other research purposes.
