Scope
This part specifies the general requirements for luminaires using electric light sources with a working power supply voltage not exceeding 1000V. The requirements and related tests presented in this standard include: classification, marking, mechanical structure and electrical structure. Each chapter of this part should be read together with the relevant chapters of Chapter 0 and other referenced standards. Other luminaire standards of the GB 7000 series specify the requirements for a specific type of luminaire or group of luminaires with a supply voltage not exceeding 1000V. For revision, these standards are published separately, and other standards will be added when required. It should be noted that this section includes safety requirements for various aspects (electrical, thermal and mechanical). Photometric data for luminaires are under consideration by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) and are not included in this standard. This standard covers the requirements for luminaires with igniters whose nominal impulse voltage peak values do not exceed the values in Table 11.3. These requirements apply to luminaires with ignitors incorporated in the ballast as well as luminaires with ignitors separate from the ballast. Requirements for luminaires with triggers incorporated in the luminaire are under consideration. This section contains requirements for semi-luminaires. In general, this section includes safety requirements for luminaires. The purpose of this part is to provide the general requirements and tests that are generally considered applicable to most types of lamps, and is referenced by the specific technical requirements of other lamp standards in the GB 7000 series. Therefore, this part should not be regarded as the technical requirements for any type of lamp itself. The provisions of this part are only applicable to various types of specific types of lamps within the scope of other lamp standards in the GB 7000 series. When other luminaire standards of GB 7000 series refer to the requirements of a certain chapter of this part, the applicability, test sequence and some necessary additional requirements of this chapter are stipulated. The serial numbers in this part have no special meaning, and the order of the applicable clauses is specified by the corresponding GB 7000 series other lamp standards for each type of lamp or a group of lamps. Other lighting standards in the GB 7000 series are independent, and there is no need to refer to other types of lighting standards. When other lighting standards of the GB 7000 series refer to the requirements of a chapter of this part, the sentence "apply the requirements of Chapter ... in GB 7000.l" appears, which means: except for the specific types involved in other lighting standards of the GB 7000 series In addition to the requirements for luminaires, all requirements of this chapter of this Part apply. According to the IEC guidelines, the new IEC standards are divided into safety standards or performance standards. In the light source safety standard, "lamp design information" is given for the safety work of the light source. When testing the lamps according to this part, it should be regarded as a normative appendix. It should be noted that in order for the luminaire to work properly, the "luminaire design information" contained in the luminaire performance standard should be followed, but this part does not require the luminaire performance test as part of the luminaire type test approval. Taking into account the state of technology, continuous improvement of safety is the basis for the development and revision of this part. A regional standardization body may declare in a derived standard that the product conforms to the manufacturer's or earlier document of the standardization body. It may be required in this statement that for such products, these earlier standards may continue to be used in production until the date when the new standard must be used.
