This chapter in GB 4706.1-1998 is replaced by the following content: This standard is applicable to the safety requirements for electronic toilets that treat human excrement by means of storage, drying or destruction, and its rated voltage does not exceed 250V. Note 1: Electronic toilets can be used to dispose of paper and food waste. This standard also applies to the safety of electronic equipment used with ordinary toilets. Note 2: Examples of electronic equipment: - pump parts; - broken parts; heating cushions; - automatic toilet cover device. As a practical matter, this standard deals with the common hazards arising from appliances encountered by all persons in and around the dwelling. This standard generally does not consider the situation where children use the appliance as play. Note 3: Attention to the following: - additional requirements for appliances used in vehicles, ships or aircraft; - special requirements for appliances used in tropical areas; - in many countries, additional requirements are determined by the national health department , as prescribed by the State Department of Labor, the State Water Authority and similar authorities. Note 4: This standard does not apply to: - appliances used in special environments, such as corrosive or explosive gas (dust, steam or gas) environments; - toilets that use chemical methods to treat human excreta; - Toilets that use combustion to dispose of human waste.
