Scope
This part of GB/T 8243 specifies the multiple-pass filtration test using the online particle counting method under continuous ash addition to evaluate the performance of full-flow oil filters for internal combustion engines. This test procedure is used to determine the dust holding capacity, particle filtration performance and differential pressure characteristics of filters. This test is applicable to filter elements with a rated flow rate of 4 L/min to 1 600 L/min and a filtration efficiency of less than 99% for particle sizes greater than 10 μm. Note: In order to cover the entire flow range from 4 L/min to 1 600 L/min, it is necessary to prepare several test flow rates in one test device or to use several test devices for testing.
