- Scope
- This standard specifies the procedures for taking fluid samples from working hydraulic transmission systems. The best method is to take a fluid sample from a main line of a working hydraulic system, that is, the particulate contamination in the fluid sample is representative of the fluid flowing at the sampling point. An alternate method is to take a fluid sample from the reservoir of a working hydraulic system. This method should only be used without a suitable sampler. This standard applies to liquid samples taken for particle pollution analysis.
