Scope
This part specifies the on-site measurement method and evaluation criteria for radial broadband vibration of steam turbine and generator bearing housings installed on land. For: - vibration in normal steady-state operation; - vibration during transient operation, including when speeding up or down through resonant speed; - vibration changes during normal steady-state operation. These guidelines also apply to axial vibrations measured on thrust bearings. This part applies to steam turbines and generators installed on land with rated [work speed] 1500r/min, 1800r/min, 3000r/min, 3600r/min, and output power greater than 50MW, including steam turbines and (or) power generators directly connected to gas turbines machine (such as combined cycle applications), in this case, the guidelines in this part only apply to steam turbines and generators, and the evaluation of gas turbine vibration should be carried out in accordance with GB/T 11348.4 and GB/T 6075.4. This section applies to the measurement and evaluation of vibrations excited by different vibration sources on steam turbine bearings and generator bearings. However, the criteria in Clause 4 and the contents of Appendix A apply only to vibrations induced by rotating parts. These criteria do not apply to the evaluation of double-frequency (ie, twice the frequency of the electrical system) vibrations excited by electromagnetic vibrations, which are excited by the stator coils of the generator and transmitted to the bearings. The allowable value for this vibration depends on the specific structural characteristics of the generator, and existing industry knowledge does not yet provide a basis for determining its general value. Acceptable criteria for such vibrations may need to be agreed between supplier and user and based on experience with similar equipment.
