- Scope
- This standard specifies the main technical principles for arch dam design. This standard applies to the design of level 1, 2, and 3 concrete arch dams on rock foundations for newly built and renovated large and medium-sized hydropower and water conservancy projects. For arch dams with a dam height greater than 200m or with special problems, special research and demonstration on relevant issues should be conducted. The design of level 4 and 5 concrete arch dams and roller compacted concrete arch dams can be implemented as a reference.
