This standard specifies the test procedures necessary for the assessment of the adjusted thermal class of an electrical insulation structure of a defined class. This standard applies to the electrical insulation structure of electrical devices with random windings whose input voltage does not exceed 1000V. These test procedures are determined by comparing the performance of the insulation structure to be evaluated with the reference insulation structure. It must be pointed out that these reference insulation structures have been verified by actual operating experience according to IEC 60791-1984, or have passed a test procedure specified in the IEC 61857 series of standards. Evaluation test.
