Scope
This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of urea-formaldehyde, phenol-formaldehyde and melamine-formaldehyde resins for wood industry adhesives and paper impregnation. This standard applies to various wood adhesives and paper impregnating resins synthesized by polycondensation reaction using urea, phenol, melamine and formaldehyde as the main raw materials; this standard also applies to the partial substitution of melamine, phenol and urea and Synthetic resin co-condensed with diphenol instead of part of phenol. This standard does not apply to latex phenolic resins.
