Scope

The purpose of this standard is to provide a basis for the exchange of information on reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety among gas turbine manufacturers, purchasers, consultants, regulatory agencies, insurance companies, and others. It specifies the terms and definitions used in this standard, and also describes the expected life of components, maintenance and criteria used to determine the period of overhaul. This section applies to all components of gas turbines, mainly including but not limited to the following components: - Compressor - Turbine - Combustion system - Intercooler - Regenerator - Air piping system - Exhaust System—intake system—control system—fuel system—lube oil system—cooling water system—rotor bearing—transmission device—coupling—starting device—chassis/foundation—casing and ventilation system
