This chapter of GB 4706.1 is replaced by the following content: This part of GB 4706 deals with the safety of electric foot warmers and electric heating pads for household and similar purposes. The rated voltage of the appliances does not exceed 250V. Appliances which are not intended for general household use but which may nonetheless pose a danger to the public, such as appliances intended for use by non-professional persons in shops, light industry and on farms, also fall within the scope of this standard. As far as the actual situation is concerned, the various utensils involved in this section are generally dangerous. Is that all people may encounter in the house and the surroundings of the house. In general, however, this standard does not deal with: - the dangers of unattended young children and disabled persons using appliances; - the situation of young children playing with appliances. Note 101: Note the following: - for appliances intended to be used on vehicles, ships and aircraft, additional requirements may be required; - in many countries, additional requirements are established by national health care departments, departments responsible for labor protection and similar departments to formulate. Note 102: This Part does not apply to: - appliances intended exclusively for medical monitoring; - electric blankets and heating pads (GB 4706.8); - electric heating carpets; - electric heaters for hatching and raising animals (GB 4706.47) .
