Scope

This standard specifies the test method for measuring the out-of-band insertion loss of optical fiber amplifier (OFA), and determines the unified requirements for accurate and reliable measurement of OFA out-of-band insertion loss parameters. This standard applies to the measurement of OFA using rare earth elements doped active optical fiber.
