- Scope
- This document describes methods for measuring the power and gain parameters of single-channel optical amplifiers with optical spectrum analyzers, electrical spectrum analyzers and optical power meters. This document applies to single-channel optical amplifiers and optical amplifier subsystems, including measurements of power and gain parameters based on rare earth element-doped optical fiber amplifiers, Raman optical fiber amplifiers, semiconductor optical amplifiers, and planar optical waveguide amplifiers. Note: The measurement of the power and gain parameters of the distributed Raman amplifier needs to fully consider the loss of the fiber. For specific methods, refer to GB/T20184.
