Scope
This standard gives specific guidance for evaluating the vibration severity measured on bearing housings or supports of gas turbine drives. The vibration evaluation criteria in this standard are applicable to heavy-duty gas turbine installations, but not applicable to gas turbines derived from aero-engines (including those whose dynamic characteristics are similar to those derived from aero-engines). There are major differences between the two gas turbines, such as cylinder stiffness, bearing design, weight ratio of rotor to stator, and mounting structure. Therefore, different evaluation criteria need to be established for these two types of gas turbines. This standard applies to heavy-duty gas turbines with a power above 3MW and a speed range between 3000r/min and 20 000r/min, which are used for power generation and mechanical drive. It includes other prime movers directly connected to gas turbines, such as steam turbines. However, the evaluation of steam turbines is not included in this standard. This standard also applies to equipment coupled to gas turbines. This standard does not apply to the following situations: - Gas turbine units with power less than or equal to 3MW (see GB/T 6075.3-2001); - Pumps driven by gas turbines (see GB/T 6075.3-2001); Steam turbines and generators with a power greater than 50MW (see ISO 10816-2:1996); ——Steam turbines and generators with power less than or equal to 50MW coupled with them (see GB/T 6075.3-2001); ——Compressors coupled with them (see GB/T 6075.3-2001); - gear box (see GB/T 8543-1987). The evaluation criteria of this standard are applicable to the measurement of vibration on the bearing seat or support of the gas turbine and its driven equipment using sliding bearings. The vibration value is the on-site broadband measurement value under normal steady-state operating conditions. This standard is also applicable to machines with gearboxes or rolling bearings, but this standard is not used for evaluation of gearboxes or rolling bearings
