Scope

Chapter 1 of GB 2099.1-1996 applies after making the following changes. Addition: This standard applies to socket-outlets which are integral with appliances and which are installed in or fixed to appliances (hereinafter referred to as "appliance socket-outlets"). Add after the final note: If also intended to be used in fixed installations, appliance socket-outlets shall be provided with means for fixing into a suitable mounting box.
