Scope: This chapter of GB 2099.1 applies after making the following modifications. This part of GB 2099 applies to AC fixed interlocking straps for household appliances and similar purposes for indoor or outdoor use, with or without grounding contacts, with a rated voltage of 50V or more but not exceeding 440V, and a rated current not exceeding 32A switch socket. Sockets with interlocks and switches conforming to this part are an integral part consisting of sockets conforming to GB 2099.1 and switch interlocks conforming to GB 16915.1 and/or GB 16915.2. For fixed accessories fitted with screwless terminals, the rated current is limited to a maximum of 16A. This standard does not include requirements for flush-mounted installation boxes. This standard does not apply to: - industrial sockets with interlocks; - sockets with interlocks for ELV. Accessories complying with the requirements of this standard are suitable for use in ambient temperatures which normally do not exceed 35°C and occasionally reach 40°C.
