This chapter in GB/T 14536.1 is replaced by the following content. This standard applies to energy conditioners used in or in connection with household and similar electrical equipment, including energy conditioners for heating, air conditioning or similar purposes. The controlled equipment can use electricity, gas, oil, solid fuel, solar energy, etc. or a combination thereof. This standard applies to the inherent safety of energy regulators; to the operating values, operating times and operating procedures related to the safety of equipment; and to the tests of electric automatic energy conditioners used in household or similar equipment or in connection with these equipment. This standard does not apply to electric automatic energy conditioners designed for industrial use. This standard also applies to unit energy conditioners as part of a control system or in combination with mechanical multifunction controllers with non-electrical outputs. This standard also applies to manual energy regulators that are electrically and/or mechanically combined with automatic controllers. This standard applies to energy conditioners with a rated voltage not exceeding 440V DC1], not exceeding 660V AC, and a rated current not exceeding 63A. This standard applies to energy conditioners equipped with electronic devices, and the requirements for electronic devices are listed in Appendix H.
