Scope

For this chapter in GB/T 14536.1, replace it with the following. This standard applies to the partial evaluation of thermal protectors in hermetic (hermetic and semi-hermetic) motor-compressors defined in GB/T 14536.1. NOTE 1 A motor thermal protector is a self-contained control which depends on being correctly installed or fixed on or in the motor and which can only be tested in combination with the corresponding motor. 2 The requirements for combining the motor and motor thermal protector are specified in GB4706.17. This standard applies to the inherent safety of motor thermal protectors for hermetic and semi-hermetic motor-compressors, and applies to operating values, operating times and operating procedures related to the equipment. This standard applies to hermetic (hermetic and semi-hermetic) motors - Motor thermal protector on compressor or motor - in compressor. This standard applies to motor thermal protectors for motors and compressors within the scope of the GB4706 (IEC335) standard. NOTE: The term "equipment" used in this standard includes "apparatus and equipment". This standard does not apply to other measures of motor protection. This standard does not apply to manual devices for disconnecting circuits. This standard applies to thermal protectors for electric motors with a rated voltage of no more than 440V DC^1], no more than 660V AC, and a rated output of 11kW or less. This standard does not take into account the response values of the automatic actions of the controller depending on the method of installation of the controller in the equipment. If the response value is meaningful for the protection of the user and the surrounding environment, the value specified by the corresponding equipment standard or specified by the manufacturer applies.
