The model defined in this standard provides a conceptual and terminological framework for the rest of this series of standards to define the various concepts of the catalog. The functional and organizational model defines how the catalog can be functionally and administratively distributed. The security model defines a framework within which directories can provide security features such as access control. The information model describes the logical structure of the DIB. According to this view, directories should in fact be distributed and invisible, not centralized. Other parts of this series of standards use the concept of information framework. In particular: a) The services provided by the directory are described by the concept of information framework (in GB/T 16264.3), which allows the services provided to be independent of the physical distribution of the DIB. b) Specifies the distributed operation of the directory (in GB/T 16264.4) and provides services to maintain the logical information structure given by the highly distributed DIB in fact.
