Scope
This part of GB/T 9239 specifies the sole criterion for the balance of individual parts (shaft and mating parts) of a keyed rotor assembly. The intent is to fit all components being balanced so that when assembled they meet the balance tolerances and/or vibration limits of the rotor assembly as a whole. This standard specifies the use of half-keys when balancing individual components of keyed rotor assemblies. It also specifies the marking of the balanced components according to the keying criteria used. This standard applies to rotors that are balanced on a balancing machine, on the bearings of the rotor itself or on site. The key criterion is also applicable to the measurement of residual unbalance and/or vibration of rotors with keyways that have not been assembled with mating parts. In addition to rectangular or square flat keys of equal cross-section mounted parallel to the axis of the shaft, this standard also applies to keys mounted on tapered shafts, half-round keys, wedge keys, pins and other special keys. The principles of the half-key criterion also apply to specially shaped keys and special keys for positioning.
