Scope: This standard specifies the dimensions of indexable inserts made of ceramic cutting materials with rounded corners, a cylindrical fixing hole, a normal relief angle of 0°, and precision grades G and M. G- and M-grade bored indexable inserts made of these ceramic cutting materials. This standard applies to various oxides, oxides and carbides, and metals. For example, such ceramic materials are: oxide ceramics (mainly composed of alumina Al₂O₃), oxide-carbide ceramics (mainly composed of alumina and other materials such as carbon fiber titanium TIC composition), chlorinated ceramics (generally composed of silicon nitride Si₃N₄ and other materials such as oxide Y₂O and alumina).
