Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of oil and gas drilling rigs and workover rigs, product types, models, basic parameters, configuration requirements, technical requirements, tests and records, signs, factory documents, storage, packaging and transportation. This standard applies to land drilling rigs and workover rigs for oil and gas drilling and workover. Drilling rigs and workover rigs for offshore platforms can be implemented by reference.
