Scope

This standard specifies the principles, test equipment, specimens, test conditions, test procedures, and test reports for liquid impact erosion tests of fiber-reinforced plastics and their protective coatings. This standard is applicable to the determination of the liquid impact erosion resistance of fiber-reinforced plastics and their protective coatings using the rotating device method. The failure time method and erosion-time curve method are applicable to fiber-reinforced plastics and protective coatings. The degradation state method is only applicable to fiber-reinforced plastics and protective coatings. Protective coating. This standard does not apply to continuous liquid jet erosion and liquid or mud erosion.
