This document specifies the minimum requirements and general rules for marking electrical equipment power ratings and other relevant characteristics for the correct and safe selection and installation of electrical equipment connected to any power supply. The purpose of this document is to: ——Provide general requirements (without limitation) for the marking of characteristics related to any power system, such as voltage, current, frequency and power; ——Provide product electrical rating marks for various technical committees unified method. This document applies to the minimum requirements for the technical committee to mark the ratings of electrical equipment, devices and components connected to any power supply, and also applies to product manufacturers to mark their products. Note: See ISO/IEC Guide 51 for more markings. This document is intended for technical committees preparing standards in accordance with the principles set out in IEC Guide 108. One of the mandates of technical committees is to use, where applicable, horizontal standards in the preparation of publications. Unless specifically mentioned or included, the contents of this document do not apply.
