- This document specifies the limit value of fuel consumption of passenger cars, application for type approval, determination and recording of fuel consumption measurement type approval value, production consistency, modification and certification extension and implementation date. This document is applicable to vehicles of category M capable of burning gasoline or diesel fuel with a maximum design gross mass not exceeding 3 500 Kg. This document does not apply to vehicles that only use gaseous fuels or alcohol-ether fuels.
