Scope
This document specifies the design, manufacturing and testing requirements for electro-sensitive protective equipment (ESPE) using stereoscopic vision protection devices, and describes the special requirements for electro-sensitive protective equipment whose sensitive function is the use of stereoscopic vision technology. This document is limited to the functionality of ESPE and how it is connected to machinery. The detection principle is based on evaluating images from different observation points (stereoscopic views) to determine distance information. This distance information is used to determine the location of the object. This document applies to: ——Vision-based ESPEs, which have fixed distances (stereoscopic bases) and directions between different fixed imaging devices during manufacturing; ——Vision-based ESPEs, distance-sensitive devices to the detection area The minimum distance is 4 times that of the stereo base; ——Vision-based ESPEs can detect objects with a diameter of at least 5 pixels on the image plane; ——Vision-based ESPEs do not require human intervention for detection; ——Vision-based ESPEs that detect objects entering or existing in the detection zone; ——VBPDSTs that use radiation with wavelengths in the range of 400nm to 1500nm; ——VBPDSTs with detection capabilities within the 200mm range. This document does not cover: ——the size or configuration of the detection area and its configuration in relation to hazardous parts for any particular application; ——the hazardous status of any machinery; ——the complex classification or differentiation required for objects to be detected Aspects; ——Aspects of mobile ESPE devices; ——Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) emission requirements; Additional requirements and tests may apply to the following situations: ——Use of multispectral (color) technology; ——Except 4.1.2 Settings other than those shown in Figure 1 (e.g. changing background, horizontal orientation of optical axis relative to ground); ——Intended outdoor applications. This document may be relevant to applications other than protecting the human body or body parts such as arms or fingers (in the range of 14mm~200mm), such as protecting machines or products from mechanical damage. In these applications (for example when the material to be identified by the sensitive function has properties different from those of a person), additional requirements are required.
