Scope

This document specifies the safety requirements and/or risk reduction measures, verification and use information of safety requirements and/or risk reduction measures for feed machinery. This document only deals with the major hazards, hazardous states or hazardous events associated with the feed machinery when the feed machinery is used for its intended purpose and when it is used under misuse conditions foreseeable by the manufacturer. This document does not address the hazards associated with maintenance or repairs by qualified service personnel. This document is applicable to single feed machinery and complete sets of feed processing equipment for industrial feed processing. This document does not apply to feed machinery manufactured before the implementation of this document.
