Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, model naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of hammer industrial feed mills. This standard is applicable to hammer-type industrial feed mills (hereinafter referred to as pulverizers) that produce coarsely ground feed for industrial production to a full-pass 3 mm aperture screen and a 0.42 mm aperture screen with an oversize of more than 20%.
