Scope

This document describes a general test method for the determination of sieve residue by mechanical washing of pigments and extenders dispersed in water. This document applies to pigments and extenders that are dispersed in water, and to other powders or granules that are insoluble in water, but does not apply to pigments and extenders that are difficult to wet with water or granulated into balls.
