Scope

This part of GM/T 0044 specifies the identity-based key encapsulation mechanism and public key encryption and decryption algorithm implemented using elliptic curve pairs, and provides the corresponding process. The key encapsulation mechanism can be used to encapsulate the key to a specific entity. The public key encryption and decryption algorithm is an asymmetric cryptographic algorithm based on identification. This algorithm allows the message sender to use the recipient's identification to encrypt the message. Only the recipient can encrypt the message. The ciphertext can be decrypted with the corresponding private key to obtain the message. This section applies to key encapsulation and encryption and decryption of messages.
