This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and labeling, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of plastic-coated composite steel pipes for water supply (hereinafter referred to as plastic-coated steel pipes). This standard applies to the design, manufacturing and inspection of plastic-coated steel pipes for water supply with a nominal size not larger than DN2 000 and a conveying medium temperature below 45°C. The plastic coating process and coating requirements for non-threaded plastic-coated steel pipe fittings can be implemented with reference to this standard.
